About our Lyrical Dance classes
Lyrical Dance is a beautiful and expressive style that blends technique with emotion and storytelling, and is often seen throughout modern dance performances. Our Lyrical Dance classes give students the opportunity to explore movement in a more connected and expressive way, developing artistry and musical interpretation. As many of our dancers have a genuine love of dance in all its forms, we encourage them to explore different genres, and those who have attended dance classes before are very welcome to try Lyrical dance.
Our dance teachers are trained in Lyrical dance and bring a strong background in performance and teaching. They are passionate about providing dancers with the opportunity to learn new styles and refine their expression, supporting students as they grow not only as dancers, but as confident and expressive individuals.
12-15 Lyrical
Building on their experience in other dance styles, students develop the fundamentals of Lyrical dance with a focus on musicality, emotional expression and fluid movement. Dancers learn controlled transitions, expressive shaping and age-appropriate combinations that encourage confidence, artistry and connection to music.
Open Lyrical
Designed for more mature dancers, this class refines Lyrical technique while deepening emotional storytelling and performance quality. Students work on strength, control, dynamics and seamless transitions through more complex movement passages and combinations, supporting growth as confident, expressive performers.

Lyrical dance is suitable for both boys and girls, although it requires participants to have previous dance training.
When can my child start Lyrical dance?
Students interested in Lyrical dance can commence from 12 years of ageand are introduced to the foundations, focusing on musicality, emotional expression and fluid movement, while Open students (aged 15 years and over) explore more advanced technique, depth of storytelling and expressive themes as they mature as performers.
